Installing VirtualDub and FiltersVirtualDub is a great tool, not only for editing avi's, but for testing your avisynth scripts. It is very easy to install and use. Downloads:Install VirtualDubVirtualDub is distributed in a zip file. If you want to install it to your Program Files directory, right click on the zip file, and select 'Extract All...':
The 'Extraction Wizard' window will pop up. Click on 'Next', and the 'Destination' window will pop up. Type 'C:\Program Files\VirtualDub' for the destination and click 'Next':
When its finished, you'll see the 'Extraction Complete' window. Click on 'Next', and you'll see the VirtualDub folder. Double click on VirtualDub, and you'll be prompted to agree to the GNU General Public License. Go ahead and click 'OK'. (Assuming you agree!) Then click on 'Start VirtualDub' in the 'Before we start...' window. It will look something like this:
Go ahead and drag the VirtualDub executable file into your start menu to make it easier to access. VirtualDub is all set up now! VirtualDub FiltersYou can download and install a variety of VirtualDub plugin filters at VirtualDub's filter page. After you've downloaded and extracted them, simply follow the directions that should come with them. (This usually involves copying the dll into 'C:\Program Files\VirtualDub\plugins\'.) |
